Women’s Bible Studies in 2010 -
TUESDAY MORNING & TUESDAY EVENING
TUESDAY MORNING – BETH MOORE: “The Patriarchs — Encountering the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
It promises to be a deep study, as we seek to deepen our faith, fellowship, and friendships through this Women’s Bible Study.
- Bible Study will begin Tuesday, January 12th in the Fireside Room from 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM.
- Registration will begin Sunday, January 3
Psalm 119:105 – 112
105 Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
Psalm 18:28, 30 add, “For You light my lamp. The Lord will enlighten my darkness. As for God, His way is perfect. The word of the Lord is proven.”
God reminds us that our steps need to be steady and lit by His word.
106 I have sworn and confirmed That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
We need to be steadfast and strong to keep God’s eternal word.
107 I am afflicted very much; Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.
When we are struck by strife and storms, we can rely on God’s word to revive us.
108 Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, And teach me Your judgments.
We are strengthened by study (and prayer!)
109 My life is continually in my hand, Yet I do not forget Your law.
Our mind is to be stayed on the Lord and when we reach out our hand, we are to hold fast to God — our stronghold.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.
When we are stricken by the wicked, we should not stray from God’s promises and precepts
111 Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever, For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
Our hearts are stirred to rejoice — God’s word needs to stick with us to be a heritage forever
112 I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes Forever, to the very end.
God’s statutes will set us straight — forever! Amen!
TUESDAY EVENING: We will be using the video and workbooks, “Discerning The Voice of God.” The cost of the book is $20. Our first session will be Tuesday, January 11th at the Wilson’s. For more information call Joanne Wilson, 949.661.6273.
