Welcome our new Director of Children’s Ministries!
Hi
I am Roxie Sharp.
I am so excited to be here to minister to the children and families of Capo Valley Church.
I come with 12 years Children’s Ministries experience and can’t wait to meet all of you.
I love serving the Lord by serving His children.
There are two passages that are especially important to me as I lead this ministry.
First one is Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.”
I believe the church should come along side the families and support them in building the spiritual foundation in children’s lives. Many see children as the church of tomorrow, I see them as the church of today. When else are they so ready to hear God’s Word. And we all know statics say a child is most likely to receive Christ at a young age.
Secondly is Ephesians 4:12 “to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.”
I am passionate about training and equipping God’s people to work in their gifts to help them serve the Lord in serving His children. You may feel called as a teacher, co teacher, craft person, hallway greeter or in other ways.
I look forward to meeting and serving with all of you.

It is our vision that we would impact children’s lives for Christ through a fun interactive and relational program that teaches them biblical truths that is applicable to their everyday life.
We feel that our purpose is to provide an environment for children ages nursery – 6th grade that will help equip them to build and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ. It is our desire for children to not only accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior but to grow and mature in their faith. The program will provide opportunities for the children to build relationships with each other, with their teachers and to learn and study biblical truths along with the application of bible memorization. Worship is also an important part of our program.
Our mission is that the children’s ministry program would desire to share in the joy of spiritual upbringing of children with thier parents. This ministry is to compliment what is already taking place at home with the children. Parent involvement is encouraged and welcomed. We can impact children’s lives for Christ through the Sunday morning and Wednesday night program as well as many other events.
Annually we hold the following children’s program events:
- Vacation Bible Sensation
- Harvest Festival (Light up the Night)
- Christmas Musical (or choir)
- Winter Camps
- Easter Celebrations
